Summer is here and it is no secret my go to makeup look is bronzed skin with a neutral bronze eye and a bold MAC Lipstick of course! MAC Lipsticks are my go to and I just can not quit them. This look is so effortless and easy yet looks extremely polished for a night out. If you want to glam it up more you can add false lashes and layer on highlighter! MAC Lady Danger is my all time favorite shade of red lipstick but as of late I have branched out for different seasons as orange toned is usually not a winter color but I still wear it LOL! Get ready to see 4 gorgeous MAC Lipstick swatches that will surely be summer bold lip approved. If you are newer to bold lips, these 4 colors in my opinion are tame. Not too orange and not too red.
As you can see they are all pretty similar but different. When it comes to finding the perfect red lip you have to try them on and see what works with your skin tone. I prefer a more orange/coral Red and that is why Lady Danger has stolen my heart. Whenever I am getting ready and fall in the love with the look I created I will take a picture. I was headed to a MAC event and just loved how my lips popped but the rest of my face was softer. I hope in the future to start showcasing more looks on my blog so stay tuned!!!!
What is your go to bold lip for summer? I would love to know!

First I would like to say I am so sorry for being MIA on my blog the last few weeks. I was out sick but I am doing good now and Thank You all for your patience. Being active on Social Media is so much fun but I truly love sitting down and writing because I feel like I am talking to all my friends about our love for makeup. So Thank You for being here!! Ok I wont make this a sappy post lol Lets move on to the makeup! I am a newbie to the L’Oreal Pro Glow Foundation and I am obsessed! It was literally a week after having it that I heard the Pro Glow family was expanding to a concealer and a powder. I just knew I had to try them both. PS not sure what took me so long to try this foundation.
$9.99 with 8 shades available. I am shade Creamy Natural. I prefer my concealer not to be super lighter than my skin because I enjoy a more natural makeup look.
Per Ulta’s Site: Discover L’Oreal’s pro inspired Infallible Pro Glow Concealer that provides glowing coverage for up to 16 hours. Sculpt and highlight features while you correct and conceal imperfections. The lightweight, ultra-blendable formula allows you to customize your glow with luminous, buildable coverage.
$12.99 with 8 shades. I prefer the shade Creamy Natural but could probably use the others I purchased as well but it depends how you are going to use the powder
Per Ulta’s Site: Discover a pro-inspired powder that provides a lasting, glowing finish with L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro Glow Powder. Skin is left feeling smooth, soft and even; never cakey, never shiny. Buff onto skin for a subtle glow or build highlight onto key features.
$12.99 with12 shades available. I am shade 205 Natural Beige which I thought may be a tad too dark however 204 seemed too pink so I went with 205 especially since its summer.
Per Ulta’s Site: L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation is a pro foundation with an all day glow!
Lets talk Concealer first since I cant get over this concealer kick that I am on. I think its just a forever addiction I will have lol. At my first application I noticed a paint smell. This is not super uncommon with some products but it went away quickly and was not in all the shades I purchased. The coverage is buildable but if you are looking for full coverage this may not be for you. I prefer this type of concealer so I am enjoying it however I didn’t notice a real glow or very dewy effect and for some reason I was expecting it to be realllllly dewy. It was just the right amount of dew as most of you know if you follow me on Instagram I do not like a matte concealer. The applicator is a doe foot application which makes it very easy to apply and I love that. If you are into lighter weight makeup that is dewy you most certainly need to check this concealer out. I think its perfect for summer or those no makeup, makeup days (which is usually my go to)
The powder can be used three different ways: Set your foundation with the non shimmer side of powder, Highlight your face with the shimmer side of powder or for an all over glow. As you can see below its split into two different products per say. The top part has a shimmer in it and the bottom does not. I know I wanted the all over glow so I went in by swirling my powder brush into it and applied it directly to a fresh moisturized face. It gives a bit of coverage and does give you a subtle all over glow but I do use a ton of skin care that makes my skin glow already. When I need those quicker makeup days I reach for my MAC Studio Fix Plus Powder Foundation and I wanted to see how this would compare and it just did not provide the coverage I would like. However I think this is a fabulous affordable setting powder by using both sides to set your foundation for a subtle all over glow or even to set your under eyes it works.
When it comes to the Pro Glow Foundation it gives me the most natural looking base with a beautiful glow that does not make me look too shiny. I went to breakfast with some family while I was trying it out and they said my makeup looked fresh and like it was my own skin. That is exactly what I look for in a foundation so I can not recommend it enough!!!!
Who else is in love with the Pro Glow Foundation and who has tried these new editions to the collection? I would love to hear your thoughts and what products you are using these days to get your glow on!!!

When it comes to Nude Lips its so personal. Why? Because not everyone’s lip color is the same. We all want to achieve and have that perfect nude lip and sometimes that is not easy to find especially at an affordable price. I love to rock a red lip but there is something so classic about a nude lip especially with a smokey eye.
For my skin tone I love a nude lip that is lighter brown/pinky toned but I also love to wear a darker brown shade especially in the fall. When I posted my most loved MAC nudes a reader said to me that the colors I posted were not “nude”. I was taken back by this comment a bit because I had an array of shades. What is nude for my lip color may not work on someone with a darker skin tone than me and vice versa. Nudes are not one size fits all and thanks to Maybelline, everyone can get a perfect nude for under $10. With their new Color Sensational Inti-Matte Nudes they “are warmer, more sensational nudes for every skin tone. Pucker up to radiant, confident color that highlights one’s natural beauty”
10 Shades available (Brown Blush & Beige Babe not pictured)
Left to Right: Naked Coral, Almond Rose, Raw Chocolate, Toasted Truffle
Left to Right: Hot Sand, Purely Nude, Peach Buff, Honey Pink
These lipsticks are most certainly BPAMC approved. You know I love a fabulous drugstore find and these fit the bill! Even though these are matte they are indeed super creamy and pigmented so they are super comfortable on the lips! They do not feel dry or heavy. It almost feels like you have a lip balm on. Just like all lipsticks they do need to be reapplied but I am okay with that. Just toss it in your purse for touch ups and you are good to go!
What is your go to Nude Lip Color? I love playing with so many different shades and textures.
