When it comes to nudes you all know I love them. I am such a basic person when it comes to makeup lol I love neutral makeup so much but it makes sense as my overall style is very classic and at times plain. I am not going to feel bad about it and have learned to embrace it. I do love bold colors once in a while and adore them on others even more.
Here are some new Nude Lipsticks I am loving. I know with Covid and masks lipstick may be bit obsolete but with zooms and just wanting to feel better all around you won’t regret these! I go back and forth with different shades of nudes that I love. For a while I loved pinky nudes. Then I went into a rich mauve phase but now I love a more light brown/pinky nude.

“this on-the-go multitasking foundation stick provides buildable medium coverage with a natural matte finish that lasts for 24 hours. This ultra-blendable formula is designed to perfect skin tone, contour curves and highlight features” – MAC Cosmetics Website
My love for MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix line just keeps growing as the line grows itself! Studio Fix Powder was one of my first foundations and it is still a staple in my collection 20 years later. The studio fix concealer quickly became my holy grail concealer and now the foundation stick is falling right in line. You can use it for foundation, to highlight or to contour with! It has a soft matte finish which makes its appealing to many people. If you are a bit dryer like me you can prep your face to add on that moisture you may need. Or if you just like a more dewy finish you can use a very dewy moisturizer or apply MAC Strobe Cream all over before. Orrrr you can be extra and do both like me HA! Lets jump into the swatches and all the details.
Have you tried this foundation? What are you thoughts? The studio fix line is one of my absolute favorites and I can not recommend it enough! Want to know more about the Studio Fix Concealer? See my post HERE

If you know me you know Nude Lipstick is a weakness of mine. I live for neutral makeup and I am always on the hunt for more nudes. NARS Cosmetics celebrated their 25th Anniversary with 60 shades and among the lippies are some stunning nude lipsticks. Over on my Instagram so many of my followers wanted to see swatches as they share the love for nudes with me! Of all the lippies I received from NARS Cosmetics I immediately pulled out the nudes and reds. Hehe! These are the nudes that stood out to me and I wanted to swatch them to show you on skin! Lets get into the details.
When it comes to NARS Cosmetics, the face palettes always make me weak but I have fallen in love with their lippies after this anniversary launch!
What nude is calling your name? Do you prefer a matte or satin finish? When it comes to a bold lip I prefer matte but with nudes I just love a glossy lip. So If I find a matte shade I like, I always find a gloss in my collection that will make it pop! Let me know what your go to nudes are, I am always on the hunt for a new nude! HA!

You all know I love MAC Lipsticks and Fall. So it only seemed right to come up with my most loved MAC Nude Lipsticks that work perfectly for the fall. Please note these shades do vary (even though they look the same LOL!) and nude lipstick is a preference and these are just my preference. For my skin tone I prefer a nude that is not too dark and not too light. I also like a good mix of Pink and Brown tones. Lets just jump right in to the swatches and lipstick details!
Burnt Spice: Creamy Dirty Rose – Matte Retro Liquid Lip
As you can see I have a type! All are in the beige family with a bit of pink and mostly matte. I typically love a good glossy nude lip but there is something special about a Matte Lipstick for the fall. The first three are classic shades that get so much recognition. However spirit was one I found from swatching shades at the MAC Counter. I never hear anyone talk about this. Why? She is such a beauty!!
What lipsticks to you reach for in the Fall?

“A buzzed-about eyeshadow palette with 12 golden neutrals for creating a swarm of looks, from bright and sunny to dangerously seductive after dark” Sephora.com
Are you buzzing over the New Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette? I know I was since seeing it online. I have to admit at first I was not sure how I felt about it. I loveeee nude palettes so it was exciting to see but I was not sure yet. However when the palette arrived at my door and I saw it in person I was in awww. This palette is much prettier in person that what you see online! I promise you. If you have your doubts go into the store and let it wow you.
I know some people are a bit perplexed or upset because the palette does not offer yellow shades. Colourpop came out with a Honey palette and it has all the yellow you can dream of if that is your style or what you are looking for. If you like warm tones like gold, bronze, deep browns and you like neutral this is one for you! I prefer a palette to offer me some options since I do not go bold often. Ok lets be real. I rarely go bold lol so this type of palette is right up my alley. Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette offers classic golds, warm ambers and rich chocolate brown shades in addition to matte and metallic finishes.
What are your thoughts on this palette? Would you have preferred more yellow tones or are you happy with the more warm golden tones? Would love to hear what you think! I know my eyes are ready for all the fall vibes with this palette.

Tis the season! Holiday 2019 Collections are starting to roll into BPAMC headquarters and I could not be more excited! I have to be honest, some Holiday collections do not excite me but this one by Drunk Elephant?!!?? WOW It is such an amazing value and offers one of my Holy Grail Drunk Elephant products at FULL SIZE! Certain brands just get it right when it comes to holiday collections and that is when it gets exciting! What I look for in Holiday releases are value, pretty packaging, some glitter but has to be classy and interesting! Lets get into what comes in this Drunk Elephant Kit.
SHELF RESPECT DRUNK ELEPHANT DAY KIT:
So what exactly comes in this kit and how much are you looking to spend? Let me start by saying the C Firma Vitamin C serum comes in full size and alone that product retails for $80. The kit retails for $88 with a value of $124!
This Set Contains: – 1 oz/ 30 mL C-Firma™ Day Serum – 0.27 oz/ 8 mL D-Bronzi™ Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops – 0.5 oz/ 15 mL Protini™ Polypeptide Cream – 0.27 oz/ 8 mL B-Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Serum – 0.5 oz/ 15 mL Umbra Sheer™ Physical Daily Defense SPF 30
When it comes to Drunk Elephant I know they are expensive but the products have made a difference in my skin and they are clean beauty products. When something works I do not mind the investment. I do get DE in PR which means the brand sends me products with the hope that I will photograph it, review it and/or promote on my social channels. I believe in Drunk Elephant and their products. I have also purchased the products on my own.
The C-Firm Vitamin C Day Serum has made a huge impact on my skin. I notice less dullness and more firmness! That is a WIN in my book! If you love C firma and want to try more products it offers you truly can not go wrong buying this kit. I also love the minis for travel so for $8 bucks more you get 4 more products to have! Also can we discuss this packaging? The play on a skincare shelfie is genius and I am obsessed!
Lets talk the other products this set offers as I have tried them all.
SHELF RESPECT DRUNK ELEPHANT DAY KIT Continued:
B Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum does exactly what it says it does. It hydrates the skin. I really enjoy this product as I have dry skin but I do not find it necessary to buy a full size. What I have done with my mini’s is use it when I get a bit more dry from the Drunk Elephant Retinol Cream and it works wonders on my skin. PS there will be a night kit as well and the A- Passoni is in that one!
Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer is very nice. It is not too think yet really moisterizes your skin. I prefer the Lala Retro whip moisturizer to this one because my skin gets so dry and it gives nice dewy base for me.
What do you think of this kit? Are you excited for Holiday Collections? Do you prefer makeup collections or skincare? Right now it appears this one may be for Rouge Members only on Sephora but once I have more information and it goes live I will update this post!

Who doesn’t love a good Nude Lipstick? We seem to be constantly looking for our perfect match. Sometimes they are too pink, too brown, don’t look right for our skin tone ect but when you find the one or few you love it is worth celebrating lol! I wear nude lipstick a lot and own a ton from multiple brands that I use and do adore. However these 6 are the ones that are the most loved and the most reached for.
For reference I am light / medium in skin tone and my skin runs a bit neutral. I prefer a more brown tone nude lipstick with a bit a of pink at times. That is my personal preference. Like I have said on my Instagram many times, nudes are very personal. Us Makeup lovers take them very seriously lol I also think it also depends on what shade of lipliner you use with it. You can always change the shade up too with adding in a darker/lighter liner. Just play around and have fun with what you have! But if you are looking to buy a new nude or add to your collection you can not go wrong with these 6 below. Especially if you are close to my skin tone and have similar preferences!
Nude Lipstick Favs:
Swatches Top to Bottom – Click on the name to shop!
BLANKETY: Soft Pink Beige (amplified) – $18.50MAC COSMETICS This is the nude I consider my perfect nude. Its not too pink and not too brown. I do prefer a bit more brown these days but I still reach for this over and over. Sometimes pairing it with MAC Stripdown gives it that push of brown I may be looking for depending on my makeup that day.
NUDE KATE: Light Pink Tone Nude (satin) – $34.00Charlotte Tilbury I know her products can be pricey but almost everything I have tried and used is beautiful. I wanted to try her lippies and saw this shade on a wedding tutorial for a perfect nude lip and knew I had to have it. Its perfect!
GOOD TIMES: Warm Beige Nude (velvet matte) – $27.00NARS Cosmetics This came in PR and I was instantly drawn to this shade. Its my most recent nude find and to be honest I have not stopped using it since it arrived. This formula is amazing! Matte yet creamy and lasts!
TIP TOE: Cool Toned Nude (Cream ) – $7.50 Colourpop Cosmetics My affordable wonder!!! This nude is a perfect blend of pink and brown and this formula is to die for. Soooo buttery and creamy. Do not sleep on Colourpop they not only offer so many products at an affordable price but they have tons of NUDES!!!!
STARK NAKED: Light Nude – (comfort matte) – $19.00Urban Decay I received this in PR as well and I knew I wanted to wear it immediately because Melissa Alatorre loves it and her makeup style is so similar to mine. Been using this since I got it over a year ago!
CLOUDS IN MY COFFEE: Dusty Nude Pink (comfortable matte) – $22.00 MAC Cosmetics ON SALE FOR $13.20 (see more Liptensity swatches HERE) Another one Melissa Alatorre made me fall in love with! Kept watching her use it so I bought it! The liptensity line is perfection! The formula is extremely pigmented and so creamy!!! For the first release I received the shades and love sooo many nudes and reds from this line. The 2nd release of shade extensions I did not receive in PR but I knew I needed Clouds In My Coffee and I am as happy as can be with this purchase!
Are any of these nudes in your collection? Any that you want to add in after this post? I truly hope this helps if you are looking for some new nudes. Each and every one of these are loved deeply! Like I said I use tons of different nudes from multiple brands but these 6 are in constant rotation and reliable for many looks. What are some of your top nudes you wear daily? I would love to hear what you are loving so I can try them myself!

Is anyone else obsessed with concealer like me? Even when you find one you love it seems you still want to keep buying and trying more? If you are like me you want to also buy every MAC concealer they have lol As I was organizing my beauty products I realized I own all the MAC Concealers except for one (except for palette and corrector) They had a sale and well here I am. A BPAMC MAC Concealer guide so you can find your perfect match or two or three! With so many different finishes and coverage abilities it can be overwhelming. I get tons of questions on my Instagram what my favorite concealer is (Hint one of MACs is in my top 2 of all time lol) However have a handful that I use all the time for different things.
I understand my role as a beauty blogger I have a concealer stash that most women may not have. So I wanted to break it down so you know what MAC Concealer may work best for you. I also encourage you to head to your local MAC and play! The artists are always so wonderful and helpful! Go with no makeup on and start trying the different concealers to see what may fit your daily needs. You will want to think about these questions…
What do you want concealer for?
Is it just under your eyes? For your face to spot conceal (break outs, redness, sun spots ect)
Do you like a matte finish?
Do you want a more natural finish?
Do you want a natural coverage?
A full coverage Concealer?
Are your under eyes more dry or more mature?
Needless to say there are a ton of things to think about when buying concealer. The same goes for foundation! There is no right or wrong!! It is strictly a preference as to what you want. Makeup is personal.

Studio Fix 24 Hour Smooth Wear: “This lightweight fluid concealer provides seamless coverage, blurs imperfections and offers all- day comfortable wear” MACCosmetics.com
I am going to start with my #1 choice. Not only is this my number 1 within the 7 MAC Concealers I am going to talk about today, it is in my top two concealers from my entire collection. I use this one and NARS Radiant Creamy the most. I love Studio Fix because its a natural matte finish so its perfect for everyday! Its not too matte that my undereyes look dry! Yet matte enough o coverage imperfections on my face. It’s not too thin and its not too thick. So the coverage is very natural. However I absolutely have worn it for events or days I go for more coverage because it is buildable. Also this concealer comes in 33 shades!!! Some MAC Concealers do not offer this shade range so I will always circle back to this one for others to try if they can not find their shade in other options. Especially if you do not like a super matte finish and looking for everyday wear.
I find that NW 25 is my perfect shade because it blends seamlessly into my skin tone. I use to wear NC 20 but now I find that is too light for my under eyes and if I want to spot conceal its too light for my face too! I have my full review and swatches of the entire line 33 shades HERE. When they announced this launch I could not wait and it exceeded my expectations.

Mineralize Concealer: “Enriched with minerals and nourishing botanicals, this creamy, easy-to-blend concealer covers and perfects while nourishing and moisturizing the skin” MACCosmetics.com
After my son was born my under eyes took a hit lol My whole body did lets be honest! My skin was so dry and my under eyes were a mess. I was at Nordstrom with my sister in law and went to MAC. I was explaining to the artist my skin changes and how Pro Longwear Concealer was too dry for me. She suggested I try Mineralize Concealer. I played with the formula at the store and I loved it! If you are dry and don’t need a ton of coverage and you want something simple for everyday this is the one for you! One downside is the number of shades.

Select MoistureCover: “A luxuriously hydrating and creamy liquid concealer that delivers a natural finish” MACCosmetics.com
After I used the Mineralize Concealer I wanted to try Select Moisturecover for the same hydration but with a bit more coverage. That is exactly what this does! Offers medium coverage with hydration. This also is good for redness or blemishs because the coverage can be built up without caking.
Price: $22.00

Studio Water Weight: “An ultra-fluid formula with medium-full buildable coverage and a natural finish. While it hydrates and gently diffuses the appearance of imperfections – eye circles, dark spots and discolouration” – MACCosmetics.com
This stuff is magic! It is witch craft lol I have a full review here. This is so thin it is legit like water yet it has crazy coverage. I do not know how they did this! The application can be tricky bc its a dropper which is different for a concealer. I do not wear this as much because I was sent three shades and I have to mix ect. But I will be purchasing this in NW 25 at the next MAC sale! This offers 16 shades and hydration as well so this is a great one to try if the others don’t have your MAC shade and you are looking for more natural finish.

Studio Fix Perfecting Stick: “A chubby twist-up concealer pencil that hides dark circles, blemishes and other skin imperfections thanks to its precise rounded tip and propel/repel abilities” – MACCosmetics.com
Years back when I was just starting with makeup a MAC artist suggested I try these concealer sticks they had. To use on my redness, a little under my eyes ect. I did not need anything full coverage ect because I was a lot younger. I loved them and still have my stubs lol I do not use them but have them because they were discontinued and I was not throwing them out HA!! Now they are in my Makeup Museum. HAHA!!!
Here is where the Perfecting Stick comes in! Its a newer version of what I was using years back and immediately purchased it! Its perfect for touch ups, fast makeup days and its easy since its a stick! I work full time and have two kids. Some days in the morning I just draw on where I need coverage use my fingers to blend it in add some mascara and call it a day! However this is a great concealer to have in your makeup bag for easy touch ups.

Studio Finish SPF 35: “An emollient-based lightweight and creamy concealer that provides discreetly opaque coverage” – MACCosmetics.com
My newest MAC Concealer purchase. This top selling concealer is a highly concentrated coverage concealer. I have friends that use this under their eyes and love it! It serves as a full coverage under eye concealer with a natural finish. However its perfect for the face as well because the coverage is full. It also controls oils so if you need to use it on your face and you are oily this is a great option! I found this as a fabulous concealer for my redness on my face (around my nose, I get some on my cheeks and have some sun spots too I cover) I tried this under my eyes and it works well for me too! My eyes are no longer as dry as they once use to be. I also prep them well with eye cream ect to have the concealer go on seamlessly.

Pro Longwear: “A lightweight, fluid concealer that provides full coverage with a comfortable matte finish ” – MACCosmetics.com
Last but certainly not least! The ICONIC Pro Longwear MAC Concealer. This is an oldie but oh such a goodie and a top seller for a reason. This is full full full coverage lol! I use to love this but again after my son I could not use it anymore. I can now but just love studio fix so much I don’t reach for this like I use to. However I can start with a thin layer of this to really conceal and then layer a more hydrating concealer on top. This is very easy to work with because its not a thick full coverage concealer. I know everyone loves Tarte Shape Tape but it was so thick and was not flattering under my eyes. I also prefer for makeup to look natural on my skin and pro longwear does that even with it being full coverage. Most MAC products just work for me tbh!

That conclude the BPAMC MAC Concealer guide! I hope you all find this helpful if you are looking to buy a MAC Concealer. Again Studio Fix has the most shades and offers so much that I do think a lot of people will find it to be fabulous! Especially if you are looking for that perfect everyday concealer!
I would love to hear the MAC Concealers you love as well as your top concealers from other brands! Always on the hunt to try more! lol

Ok let me start off by saying this. I made a huge blogger mistake. I did not take before pictures or pictures during my balayage experience. In my defense I was so nervous my palms were sweating. Some of you may say OMG Vanessa dramatic lol! However I have never dyed my hair. Years back I did a semi permanent with my stylist to go darker and it was only for a year. Washouts in my opinion don’t count lol my natural hair color came back with no issues. This time I was going permanent and lighter! Can we say huge step?!! HA! When I was a teen the striped highlighting craze was sooo in and I was never interested. I consider my style very natural and plain Jane in a way. Going bold with highlights didn’t excite me.
In recent years I have found myself needing a change. As I have gotten older and with the balayage trend still going strong I was ready to take a leap of faith. I will go into detail on what balayage is, what to expect and how to maintain it!
I pulled a picture from my amazing experience with Alex Brown (see that post HERE) to show you a before shot of my hair. Oh and my after pictures are from Instagram stories, not nicely focused pictures. Again I failed but I wanted to write this post because I am in love with my hair!
Before Balayage:
Hair Cut and Style by Alex Brown
After Balayage:
Balayage, Hair Cut and Style by Christine Miller
What is Balayage?
Balayage is a french word meaning sweeping. It is a technique for highlighting hair in which the stylist will free hand the dye on in such a way to create a natural lightness towards the end of your hair. You want to go to someone you know and trust. Someone who understands your style, how you frame your hair to your face. For an in depth read on this technique and know the differences between balayage, highlighting and ombre go here. I did a ton of research before I decided on this and talked with my stylist. My stylist and I have been together since I was 21. That is 17 years! I knew she would be the only person I would trust to dye my hair in this way. I showed her this inspiration picture and we discussed options.
My Inspiration for Balayage.
Image from Pinterest: was not able to locate direct source
I explained I wanted it subtle but noticeable. She suggested to use caramel and not blonde since my hair is brown and she wanted it to look as natural as possible. As you can see above she NAILED IT! It was very noticeable to all my friends and family because they never saw me with lighter hair. However it was perfect. It was like I have been on vacation and I felt amazing! I felt like I looked fresh and younger dare I say. My mom said that too so it counts lol I absolutely love that she framed my face with the lighter shade a bit so its was not just light more towards to bottom. The balayage looks seamless and that is exactly the look you want!
So what should you expect?
After talking about how I part my hair and going over again how I style my hair (which side do a part it ect) she went to get all the mixing in. She used two different shades of caramel. One was lighter that she used for the bottom and for framing my face and one that was darker (I had some grey hair she covered). I do not have grey hair at my roots just yet Thank God so I did not have to do any initial root dye. Every hair stylist will have their own methods but the basics will remain the same. Balayage is a free style technique where your hair stylist will paint on the color. See a video of the technique here. It is is done on dry hair, then its washed, blow dried, cut and styled! She used some foils in my hair towards the top and then wrapped it with a balayage specific plastic clear wrap. I waited for about 15-20 minutes until the color started to lighten. She also had me sit under those cool looking chairs at the salon to speed up the process a bit.
Here is when I truly started to sweat lol As I was sitting a piece of hair by my eye was getting lighter and seeing it freaked me out. I thought omg what if I hate this? What if I look unnatural? It was all just so new to me I had no clue what to expect. Once it was washed (she added a glaze and toner in this process to help make the color pop and to keep it shining) we went the chair for my trim, blow out and style. The more and more I saw it coming to life I was falling in love.
Balayage Hair by Christine Miller Carmel Balayage by Christine Miller
How to maintain Balayage:
This is by far the most low maintenance way to dye your hair. This is another reason I went with Balayage. The price can be a bit costly up front however you can do it once every 9-12 months. WIN!!!! However you have some maintenance to do! First in order to maintain your color you want to go with a sulfate & paraben free shampoo and conditioner. Sulfates can dry out your hair and strip away the colors. You all know I love a good drugstore beauty product so I am using The Signature Shampoo and Conditioner by Kristen Ess. Find them for $10 at Target.
You will read or hear a lot about toning or your hair turning brassy looking. Sometimes your color can turn brassy and will need some maintenance. There are products on the market called Purple Shampoo. This will help turn those blonde / caramel shades back to life! However my stylist said she can glaze and tone it anytime! I have not purchased a purple shampoo at this time because I plan to go back for a trim, glaze and tone at the end of May before we have a big family wedding. However if I see my shade going a bit hay wire I will try a purple shampoo.
Another thing suggested for maintenance is to not wash your hair everyday. So you will want to test out those dry shampoos! I love this one from Dove and Amika! You will want to take care of your hair with some good hair masks (love this one from Amika) and scalp products! I really want to try this scalp purifying shampoo. Its on my next target order list!
I hope this helps if you have been thinking about trying balayage! Again I am sorry for my blogger fail with more pictures lol but I think the pictures although not perfect 100% showcase the beauty of my caramel balayage. I feel naturally sun kissed and feel like a whole new person! After having my kids I have really felt the need for a change and my hair has given me more motivation to keep working on my self care on my levels!!! If you have balayage or decide to do it please tag me on Instagram! BPAMC wants to see it!!!
