Who doesn’t love concealer? In most recent years I have become concealer obsessed. I love concealers in all shapes and sizes lol. Full coverage, matte, dewy, sheer ect. Nothing beats an affordable concealer that works. Shape Tape Concealer by Tarte Cosmetics was all the rage at one point and still holds a lot of hype. Is it that good? Ehhh I was not too impressed. The formula for me was too thick and drying. When Makeup Revolution came out with this so called Shape Tape Concealer Dupe the YouTube world went crazy over it I was very intrigued. The concealer is only $7 and holds a lot of the same benefits as shape tape. In short this is a fantastic concealer at the drugstore for a fraction of the cost of Tarte’s Shape Tape. With full coverage matte creamy finish and easy to blend you can not go wrong.

I wanted to also add in some comparison swatches for you if you are closer to my skin tone. I am typically Light to Medium with Neutral undertones. I found for this concealer C 7 was the best for me and my personal preferences. In the past I use to go light under my eyes but now I like to use something just slightly lighter than my skin tone or almost a match. It makes it easy when I am doing concealer only for those fast no makeup, makeup days. MAC I am NC 20 and that is really almost too light but it still works and I tend to mix a lot so that shade works still. I hope this helps if you are looking to buy the Makeup Revolution Concealer!

When it comes to top mascara these 5 are must must haves. I think mascara is the one beauty item (aside from lip balm) I could not live without. There is something about a bare face without lashes vs with lashes. Mascara literally wakes up my face. I have tried so many over the years but these stand out. I can typically tell by one try if its for me or not. It has to instantly lift without a ton of coats. It can not be too thin, too dry or too wet. All of these mascaras give me the length and volume I am looking for when it comes to a Mascara. They are not mentioned in any special order. If I had to say which ones I use the most it would be the L’Oreal Lash Paradise and the MARC Jacobs Velvet Nior. However when I wear any of these I have been asked if I am wearing false lashes or what type of mascara do I use!
TOP MASCARA: High End & Drugstore
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Carbon Black – SHOP IT HERE:This is such an oldie but goodie. Loved by many Celebrity MUA’s and its under $6 at Target This was my first real mascara I used once I started to wear makeup as a teen. It may not have been the carbon black but it was this original L’Oreal. I honestly probably saw it in Allure and went out and bought it.
Cover Girl Lash Blast – SHOP IT HERE: This is the mascara that re introduced my love to drugstore mascaras. In my 20’s when I started making a bit more money I splurged on Bad Gal Lash By Benefit and Dior Show. Both which are fabulous but in recent months was not as impressed as I once was (Marc Jacobs is to blame). When I got engaged I said OK I need to cut back some and my sister in law loved this one so I tried it. What can I say? The volume and length is there! Its under $7 at Target.
MARC JACOBS Velvet Nior– SHOP IT HERE: I was just recently introduced to this mascara when Marc Jacobs sent it to me. I have heard non stop things about it but I try not to give in to hype on products. Ohhhh the hype is real. This mascara I use the most along with my Loreal Lash Paradise which I can easily say is its drugstore dupe. Kinda… Either way you must try this! Sephora sells a Mini version which I think is great. See it HERE It gives you all the length and volume you want without feeling clumpy or dry.
TOP MASCARA: Continued
L’Oreal Lash Paradise – SHOP IT HERE: I am obsessed!!! Especially because its drugstore and I literally live for amazing drugstore finds. I pair this with the L’Oreal Lash Primer (which is another must have) and its even better with the primer! The ONLY problem I have with this mascara is it appears to dry out fast. However it works so well for me and I get compliments ALL the time I will not let that be a deal breaker. Find it HERE at Target for under $10!!
MAC In Extreme Dimension – SHOP IT HERE: This is the newest mascara I have tried. Iw as sent this as well by MAC Cosmetics and for as much of a MAC Junkie I am (See my INSTAGRAM HERE) I have never really tried their mascara. Crazy I know. I follow so many MAC MUA’s on the gram and they swoon over this and now I know why!!!
What are your top mascara choices? I am always looking to try out new ones especially from the drugstore! If you have not tried any of these out I strongly strong suggest them all. Like I said I wear the MARC Jacobs and the L’Oreal Lash Paradise the most but I reach for them all. They are constantly being re purchased or will be repurchased.

It has been a long time since I have written about makeup dupes. I started this series on my Instagram when I started and then I kind of just stopped. Well I am back and I am ready to discuss dupes! High End Foundation Dupes to be exact! There is nothing I love more than to find affordable beauty products that perform. The Maybelline Fit Me Foundations are pretty much high end quality for under $10 at the drug store. There are two finishes available matte and dewy and today I want to break down how they are dupes for MAC and NARS Foundations. Of course there will be some differences but if you are looking for fantastic foundations that do not break the bank and compare to high end foundations this post is for you!
HIGH END FOUNDATION DUPES
Maybelline Fit Me: Matte & Poreless
“Maybelline’s pore-minimizing foundation contains their genius blurring micro-powders that erase pores and absorb oil for a naturally matte and poreless-looking finish” – ulta.com
This foundation is a dupe for MAC Studio Fix Fluid. Studio Fix also is a natural matte finish, helps minimize the look of pores and costs $30.00. Now if you are new here MAC is my Jam. When a High End brand is worth the splurge I buy. MAC & NARS are two brands that always work for me. I know not everyone can afford these prices or just maybe do not like the brands for whatever the reason may be. That is why dupes are fantastic!!! The MAC’s foundation works better for me because the shade I use C3.5 is perfect. I will tell you Matte & Poreless 130 Buff Beige is pretty darn close but its just a bit too cool for me. Does this stop me from wearing it? Nope!!! Find your perfect shade HERE.
Maybelline Fit Me: Dewy & Smooth
“This foundation blends seamlessly for light to medium, natural coverage that leaves skin the way it was meant to be – fresh, breathing, flawless” -ulta.com
This foundation is a dupe for NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. NARS is also a radiant finish, with medium coverage (it says full coverage but I find it to be more medium) that does not feel heavy on the skin and costs $49.00. One thing I can say about NARS is they have undertones ON LOCK!!!! They get it period! So because the Maybelline Fit Me foundation has less shades that is it’s only downfall however if it offers your shade this is an amazing dupe for NARS. I truly hope they extend this ones range to 40 as well.
If you are interested in the NARS Foundation I do have some swatches and full review of it HERE and If you are interested in MAC Posts you can find some of my most popular ones HERE and HERE.

With 12 shades, ranging from cool to warm, matte to metallic, you and this palette will be inseparable. You can never have too many nudes… www.ultabeauty.com
Colourpop Cosmetics is known for their affordable prices with products that perform. Its only been until recent you could only purchase on their website. However Colourpop has now launched in Sephora and Ulta Beauty. To be honest when I heard they were launching in Sephora I was confused. Sephora to me is known as a luxury beauty retailer where Ulta Beauty sells both High end and drugstore products. One of the many reasons why I absolutely love Ulta Beauty. One palette that specifically launched at Ulta is the Colourpop Double Entendre Palette – See it HERE
Colourpop Double Entendre
Pressed shadows are buttery, pigmented and blend easily. For $16 you get 12 shades. That is just a little over $1.25 per pan. As a reference, the pan sizes are similar to a MAC single pan which retails for $6. Purchasing this palette will give you a mix of matte, metallic, cool and warm tones making Colourpop Double Entendre perfect for everyday. Dark brown shades allow for a smokey eye that can transition your day eye to night eye easily.
What I love the most about this palette is you can use as little as two shades and get a beautiful neutral eye look. I am not a huge eye shadow person. I prefer one to three shades at most when creating a look. Shades Uninhibited and Draft are perfect all over the lid and go type of shades. Colorful eye shadows are really not my thing so when I saw this I knew I had to grab it!
If you are looking for affordable makeup with quality results Colourpop is a brand to try! When you google or search on Youtube the hype is very real from what you see and read. With the accessibility at Ulta more beauty lovers can go into a location, swatch & see the products and this make me so happy. Its not easy ordering on line without every seeing a product. I do hope more and more Colourpop products come to Ulta but in the meantime this palette is a great place to start. I hope this post and my swatches are helpful to you! One other product I can highly recommend is the Super Shock Highlighter. Ulta Beauty currently sells 4 shades. Wisp is my absolute favorite and I have hit pan on it. Let me know if you would like to see swatches of my Colourpop Highlighter Collection! I reach for them over my high end highlighters often.
What is your favorite CP product? Will you be trying out this palette?

L’Oreal just came out with a ton of new highlighter products and I am living for it! One product that grabbed my attention right away is the L’Oreal Glotion. A natural glow enhancer. Sounds perfect right? Since I am into liquid products a lot as of late I wanted to test the glotion out first. All of the product claims scream versatile and I love nothing more than a product that can do multiple things. You get more bang for your buck and lets face it, its just better that way. Loreal Glotion is said to instantly hydrate and give you an all over fresh and natural glow. You can wear it alone, before or after makeup and can use for spot highlighting on the face.
$11.99 – $14.99 ( target wins with the cheaper price!!! )
4 shades (fair, light, medium, deep)
I grabbed the shade light and added a small amount all over my face. You do not look like the tin man. The glotion seriously gives a beautiful natural radiance. I added on some of my favorite mascara L’Oreal Lash Paradise, then I spot concealed with NARS Concealer and added on some gloss. I had the perfect no makeup, makeup look. Whether you want to wear it alone or add in a drop to your favorite foundation you will not be mad about it. Natural radiance is in style all year round and with 4 shades these are going to work on all skin tones!
Top To Bottom (Fair, Light, Medium, Deep)
If I had to compare them to a higher end product I would say MAC Strobe Cream. However strobe cream is not like a tint. There is color infused indeed but the L’Oreal Glotion delivers an illuminating color tint, MAC strobe cream does not give your skin a tint of color. If you have been wanting to try a liquid highlighter that can be used in multiple ways and want to try at a lower price tag these are a must!

The Colourpop Lux Lipsticks officially re- stock tomorrow and I have my blog post ready just in time! What better way to celebrate Valentines Day than with some Red Lipstick! Red Lipstick has become a staple for me so when the Lux Lipsticks launched a couple weeks ago I grabbed the Red Bundle. A Bronze face with a Red Lip is my go to easy glam and with a $7 price tag I had to try!
“Enriched with our LUX Blend of butters, this creamy-matte, long wearing lipstick glides on the skin for intense pigmentation in shades made for every skin tone” Colourpop Website
Sold On Colourpop Website: https://colourpop.com/collections/lux-lipstick
Creamy Matte Formula
$7 / $21 for bundles (I am not seeing bundles on site now)
Lets get into the Swatches. These are just one swipe with a little extra to make my swatch look some what pretty lol I wish I was more creative with swatches but I like for the swatches to be organic to be honest. These glided on my arms and my lips like BUTTER. The only thing I am not 100% sure about is the shape of the lipstick. Because they are a bit more rounded at the top as opposed to a point like say a traditional MAC lippie or Milani I had a bit of trouble with the corners of my lips. This is NOT a deal breaker by any means.
These three shades lean towards a bit of MAC Lipsticks Lady Danger and Russian Red but still different. With so many shades and undertones and formulas out there you can never have too many Red Lippies HEHE!!!
Swatches Top To Bottom:
On Repeat: Orange Red
Get A Room: Bright Orange Red
On Display: Bright Pinky Red
Have you grabbed any of these lippies? Colourpop has been a brand I have fallen in love with and I have no plans on stopping! Here are some other products that I love!
Morphe was just added to the list of new brands coming to Ulta Beauty on October 22nd online. With this announcement it seemed like the perfect time to talk about my 5 must have Morphe Brushes. When it comes to the brand, there can be a bit of a debate over them.
Many large Influencers on YouTube with millions of subscribers all push for their brushes and makeup. The brand is very appealing because they come with an affordable price tag on all their products. The catch? The You Tubers use affiliate codes and many people think this is the only reason they give this brand good reviews because they receive a commission if a consumer uses that Influencers code. The code allows for a discount for when you purchase directly from the Morphe site. It usually covers the shipping if you are not spending the amount for free shipping which is $75.00. Although I can appreciate the concern and debates, this is not something that I personally worry about and I always love a discount! lol
If I want to try something I do and if I do not like the product it gets returned. A little over a year ago I decided to jump on the Morphe Brushes bandwagon as there are many people who do love these brushes and products to see for myself. Another great reason to try? Morphe Brushes are also widely discussed online as dupes for MAC brushes. I could not resist and wanted to find out for myself.
Verdict? In my opinion they are fabulous for makeup application, clean well and durable. Add in an affordable price tag, they are a win for me! Now I can only speak on these brushes, as I have never tried their eye shadow brushes. I purposely left mine dirty for their photo shoot so you can see how loved they are. Lets get into the breakdown.
Morphe Brushes For a Flawless Base:
M527 Deluxe Pointed Powder Brush $16.00: This brush is specific for bronzer and is made with goat hair. Bronzer goes on with ease and powder blends out nicely. It is known to be a dupe for MAC 135 Brush. Will be available online 10/22 and in-stores 10/27 at Ulta Beauty but can also be found on Morphe.com
M500 – Deluxe Pointed Blender $9.00: I use this to set my face and under eyes but this brush can be used in multiple ways. I use to set my whole face with powder after liquid foundation. However after watching a MAC artist on you tube only set certain areas I knew I wanted a brush to do just that. I typically set my T Zone since it gets oily and my under eyes in the hopes that my concealer will not crease. Another dupe for MAC 137 brush. Will be available online 10/22 and in-stores 10/27 at Ulta Beauty but can also be found on Morphe.com
E 4 Angled Contour $14.00: Holy Grail blush brush. I know this says contour and you can use it for that and other powders (no rules) but I personally love this for blush. I saw many Influencers on You Tube using this and since I am a blush addict I had to try it and I loveeee it! This brush is not on the Ulta site as of right now but you can find it here on the brands site.
M439 Deluxe Buffer Brush $14.00:Jaclyn Hill made this foundation brush famous and I see where the hype is. It does not suck up my foundation. Instead it distributes the foundation evenly all over my face and the dense brushes create a flawless coverage. Will be available online 10/22 and in-stores 10/27 at Ulta Beauty but can also be found on Morphe.com
M405 Contour Brush $8.00: The angle on this brush allows for a really nice contoured cheek that is natural looking. You can use this for blush and highlighter too but I found it to work best as a contour brush. Find it here
I hope this posts helps you if you have been looking for some new base makeup brushes to try! What are some of your most loved Makeup Brushes? I most certainly need to update my eyeshadow brushes so any suggestions is appreciated. You guys know I am not fancy with eye shadow but maybe good brushes it will be like magic lol

When it comes to Makeup Brushes you do not need to spend a ton of money for results. There are soooo many fabulous options at the Drugstore and for this post I want to talk about my 5 must have drugstore brushes! Not only are these affordable drugstore brushes but also all under $10 and can be found at Ulta Beauty & Target!
Elf Cosmetics Flawless Face Brush – $6.00: This brush is absolutely perfect for powder foundation. If you have been following me for a while you know I am a huge MAC Studio Fix Powder fan. Because the brush is a bit more dense it packs on so much product. Its so soft and is not too big either. The size is actually another great feature. Its compact enough to fit in a smaller makeup bag. Some days when I am doing my makeup on the train I will use it for my powder foundation, bronzer and then blush.
Real Techniques Expert Concealer Brush – $6.99: New to my collection but only after a few uses I am in love. This brush actually gave me this idea for this Drugstore Brushes post lol! This blends out concealer without streaks and the bristles are nice and soft which is important for such a delicate area of the face. When it comes to pot concealers using a brush makes them so much easier but I have been using this for all of mine.
Real Techniques Powder Brush – $9.99: When it comes to setting your whole face this brush will be your best friend. I do not always set my whole face but when I do this is the only brush I reach for. The size and shape allow product to sweep over the entire face effortlessly. I have also used this for powder foundation but found the Elf Face Brush to work better. However this can be a multi – tasker in your collection!
Real Techniques Blush Brush – $8.99: Blush is my fav and when you have the right tools it is even better. With the shape you can get product perfect on the apple of your cheeks or can even use this as a bronzing brush to carve out your cheek bones. Another multi – tasker but I prefer this as a blush brush!
Elf Cosmetics Small Stipple Brush – $3.00: The cheapest on this list yet can do so much! I have used this for liquid foundation, cream blush, cream bronzer and cream contour. This brush is fool proof and a must have!
What are your must have drugstore brushes? Let me know in the comments below and don’t forget to share and pin!
