Japonesque Blush Collection: Swatches and Product Info

I have been using the Japonesque Blush in Shade 2 for almost 2 years now. I saw Manny MUA pair it with  Benefit Hoola on a video of his and I knew I had to have. Hoola and Shade 2 are just perfect together!!!! I immediately fell in love and it has since become one of my all time favorite blushes and that is saying a lot as I am a HUGE BLUSH junkie. Its my biggest makeup weakness so I have tried many! When Japonesque sent me their entire Blush Collection for review I was beyond excited and of course had great exceptions.

Their Velvet Touch Blush Collection comes in 6 shades and are $22 per blush. I find this price to be fair and reasonable as the pans are fairly large and the quality is on point!!! Super pigmented and they blend effortlessly on your cheeks and the packaging is just so fun and colorful!!

RCMA No Color Powder: Review and Information

The Hype is real. WOW the hype is real. When I received the RCMA No Color Powder from Frends Beauty I was hesitant to be honest. I have seen, read and watched everything about this powder but I try not to fall into too many beauty trends at once.  Before I started to use it I went back and watched Jaclyn Hill’s video on baking with this powder (which is a great instructional video FYI) and I decided I wanted to try it as a setting powder under my eyes and my t-zone first.

RCMA No Color Powder

RCMA No Color Powder

This RCMA no color powder is now my go to as an under eye setting powder as it has stopped every concealer I have tried with it from creasing. I also set my T- Zone with it and it combats my oil throughout the day. In terms of baking its also a winner. It brushes off easy and does not leave any white residue on my face. Some makeup brushes I have used with it are my Real Techniques Miracle Sponge and my Morphe M554 brush to set under my eyes, My Elf Contouring Brush to make my contour line more sharp and my MAC Brush to wipe away for baking.

RCMA No Color Powder

RCMA No Color Powder

I know the packaging is nothing glamorous but I actually appreciate the simplicity and no fuss about it. I simply take the cap off and pour a little powder in the cap and then dip in whatever tool I am using in the cap and it has worked out well. I have also seen multiple bloggers take a used up powder container they have and place some powder in there if the packaging does not fit your needs.

This powder can be found at Frends Beauty for $12.00 but when you sign up for Frends with Benefits discount program you get 10% off EVERY order. Yes every order! How fabulous is that?!! All customers worldwide are eligible to join for free and they offer a pro and non pro discount program. Click here to learn more!

Below is an amazing chart from Frendsbeauty.com that helps you find a face powder that they have in stock that will work best with your skintone.

Review:

These False Eyelashes are very comfortable to wear, easy to work with and have amazing quality. The lashes I have been trying are Earhart. They are perfect for everyday so it’s the first pair I gravitated towards. I had to cut them down a bit as they were too long for my eyes. I used lash glue I already own and used a pair of tweezers to assist in applying them.

Everyday False Eyelashes, Dramatic False Eyelashes, Battington Lashes

Everyday False Eyelashes

I applied a little mascara to my real lashes first but I always go back and forth with this process. To add more drama I applied mascara once I applied the false eyelashes. (Side note: when I removed them they were not full of mascara where I could not use them again.)

I love the style Earhart as they add just enough drama for everyday without feeling overdone. I personally think this style would be great for an event or wedding as well. If you are looking purchase a style that you can use for everyday but events as well I would go with Earhart and or Kennedy.

If you are looking for drama the 3D lashes are going to be your best option!

Japonesque Velvet Touch Color Eye Shadow Palette

The Japonesque eye shadow palette is an all matte palette that will take you from day to night and allow for multiple looks. There are 8 natural shades from light to dark that will last all day and blend like a dream. Why? I repeat why are we not talking more about this perfect palette???  If you have been following me for a while you know I am not into palettes that much. I know, I know what kind of beauty lover am I? I get it, but seriously I love eye shadow but I never seem to get creative with it. I genuinely love a neutral look. I will wear it on the lighter side with a bolder lip or smoke it out with a nude lip but the color is ALWAYS neutral. I think that is why I love my custom MAC eye shadow palette (stay tuned for a detailed blog post about it) because every color is a color I picked out. Which means no color goes untouched. So when I find a palette where I will use every color that is when I make a palette purchase and this would have been no exception!

Review:

I didn’t expect anything less than amazing from this eye shadow palette. I have been using Japonesque’s blush in Shade 2 for years now and its one of my favorite blushes. I used this palette for a week and tried multiple colors. They blend like a dream and are buttery, pigmented and easy to use. The packaging is sleek and all black (right up my alley) and the pan sizes are very large as you can see in the picture. There is not a mirror and I know this is something alot of people prefer but its not a deal breaker for me.

Eye Shadow that jiggles? Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss

Review:

I am not going to lie these were very strange to me when I first opened them. I thought “an eye shadow that jiggles? Whatttt?” But the moment I swatched them I gasped! I absolutely love metallic shades for the eyes. I prefer just one swipe of a pretty shimmer that is going to give me a glamorous look without the hassle of spending a ton of time on my eyes.

When you dip your finger in (I just felt more comfortable using my fingers) its a strange consistency but its fun! I just started to pat on my eye and watched this Glazen Eye Gloss work its magic. It applies like a gel and dries like a powder so it takes a bit to get use to. I have tried this without a eye shadow primer since it states its crease resistant but like all eye shadows it creased on me and works best in my opinion with an eye shadow primer. They were a bit hard to blend with my finger but again it takes a bit to get use to working with this texture.

Would I recommend these? Absolutely! If you are into shimmer and or metallic eye looks you need at lease one.
