MUST HAVE DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS II: The Products You Need To Try

It is no secret I love a fab find especially when its under $10 and from the drugstore. BPAMC is all about quality products and just because its from the drugstore does NOT, I repeat does NOT mean you wont find it when a product is “cheap” Out of this list only 3 products that are over $10 but trust me they are worth it! On my Instagram I love to show products that are $10 or less because lets face it, there are some gems at the drugstore. When it comes to must have drugstore products, these are tried and true, always in reach and in rotation. To see other must have drugstore products I love click here.

Drugstore Product List: (click product to shop)

  1. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer: PRICE: $14.99 This bronzer is making the list again for me because that is HOW AMAZING IT IS!!! If you have not tried this yet what are you waiting for? Best part? It now comes in more shades!!! This bronzer will warm up your face and sculpt it while smelling like you are in the tropics! The name is true to its formula because its extremely buttery, blends like a dream and I can say this is a pretty darn close dupe for NARS Laguna Bronzer.
  2. Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter in shade WISP: PRICE: $8.00 Just look at this pan in the photo! I can not get enough of this buttery wet glowing goodness!!! This is by far my most reached for highlighter.
  3. L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer:  PRICE: $7.99 Take your lashes to the next level with this primer! There are so many expensive options out there and just like most mascaras there is absolutely no need to pay big bucks! Pair this with L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara and you will get all the length and volume you will ever want for your lashes!
  4. Maybelline Dream Brightening Concealer: PRICE $5.99 Quick and easy with a luminous finish to give your under eyes a more awake appearance! If you are into easy makeup that is not too heavy this is a conceraler to try! Also if your skin is a bit more mature as its not drying at ALL!
  5. NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss: PRICE $5.00 UGHHH I love this gloss but its so hard to find now! So if you ever find it grab it and dont look back. Its a dupe for sooo many high end lip glosses out there! If you can not find it you can always go with the NYX Butter Glosses!

6. Burt’s Bees Blush: PRICE: $ 9.49 One of my newest loves in the drugstore department are these blushes. Smooth, buttery and pigmented! They perform like a high end blush for a fraction of the cost. The only downside is there are only 3 shades available. See swatches and shades HERE.

7. ColourPop Eye shadow Palettes: PRICE: $16.00 Colourpop has been a brand I have just fallen in love with. Whether you find them at Ulta or on the Colourpop website there is something for everyone. With lauches happening non stop you sometimes cant keep up but the eye shadow palettes are work every penny! The color scheme options are endless. They blend beautifully, are very pigmented and have a variety of finishes in each palette to maximze your looks. I am not huge on eye shadow because I am not fancy with it so to spend a ton of money on eye shadow is just not my thing. However for $16 and sometimes cheaper I am all for it!

TOP DEWY CONCEALERS: Drugstore & High End

With most beauty products we are always on the hunt for that perfect product that will work like magic. Concealer is probably one that is high on the list if you ask most women. Just like foundation, concealer can be very personal. Whether you like dewy concealers, matte concealers, full coverage or just enough to get you through the day it’s a preference. My preference is a dewy concealer that has medium to full coverage but some days I prefer light coverage.  I also want the concealer shade to be pretty similar to my skin color. Don’t get me wrong I like a brightening look but not for everyday. Many concealers that will give you a more dewy look will also be listed as a natural or satin finish.

In the past year I have tried so so so many concealers including Tarte Shape Tape that has a cult following however it was too matte and too thick for me. It has fantastic coverage so I can see the appeal 100%, it just was not for me. My go to concealer use to be MAC Pro Longwear however it has becoming too drying under my eyes and I blame my kids and good ole aging lol. I have been wanting to give that a whirl again I am not going to lie. Maybe mixing a more matte concealer with a dewy concealer since mixing is my new go to lol but for now here are my Top Dewy Concealers that I recommend from drugstore to high end!

I have included the shade names below for your reference as well.  I do want to say there is no particular order here. I use ALL of these on the regular. I would say for a more pulled together look and or event the Bye Bye Under Eye, NYX Gotcha Covered and Marc Jacobs are a go to.  The others are lighter weight and I will mix them with a more full coverage concealer or use for everyday no makeup, makeup looks.

NEW L’Oreal Pro Glow Collection: How Do You Glow?

First I would like to say I am so sorry for being MIA on my blog the last few weeks. I was out sick but I am doing good now and Thank You all for your patience. Being active on Social Media is so much fun but I truly love sitting down and writing because I feel like I am talking to all my friends about our love for makeup. So Thank You for being here!! Ok I wont make this a sappy post lol Lets move on to the makeup! I am a newbie to the L’Oreal Pro Glow Foundation and I am obsessed! It was literally a week after having it that I heard the Pro Glow family was expanding to a concealer and a powder. I just knew I had to try them both. PS not sure what took me so long to try this foundation.

Product Details: Now available at Ulta Beauty

Pro Glow Concealer:

$9.99 with 8 shades available. I am shade Creamy Natural. I prefer my concealer not to be super lighter than my skin because I enjoy a more natural makeup look.

Per Ulta’s Site: Discover L’Oreal’s pro inspired Infallible Pro Glow Concealer that provides glowing coverage for up to 16 hours. Sculpt and highlight features while you correct and conceal imperfections. The lightweight, ultra-blendable formula allows you to customize your glow with luminous, buildable coverage.

Pro Glow Powder:

$12.99 with 8 shades. I prefer the shade Creamy Natural but could probably use the others I purchased as well but it depends how you are going to use the powder

Per Ulta’s Site: Discover a pro-inspired powder that provides a lasting, glowing finish with L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro Glow Powder. Skin is left feeling smooth, soft and even; never cakey, never shiny. Buff onto skin for a subtle glow or build highlight onto key features.

Pro Glow Foundation:

$12.99 with12 shades available. I am shade 205 Natural Beige which I thought may be a tad too dark however 204 seemed too pink so I went with 205 especially since its summer.

Per Ulta’s Site: L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation is a pro foundation with an all day glow!

L’Oreal Pro Glow Collection

Lets talk Concealer first since I cant get over this concealer kick that I am on. I think its just a forever addiction I will have lol.  At my first application I noticed a paint smell. This is not super uncommon with some products but it went away quickly and was not in all the shades I purchased. The coverage is buildable but if you are looking for full coverage this may not be for you. I prefer this type of concealer so I am enjoying it however I didn’t notice a real glow or very dewy effect and for some reason I was expecting it to be realllllly dewy.  It was just the right amount of dew as most of you know if you follow me on Instagram I do not like a matte concealer. The applicator is a doe foot application which makes it very easy to apply and I love that. If you are into lighter weight makeup that is dewy you most certainly need to check this concealer out. I think its perfect for summer or those no makeup, makeup days (which is usually my go to)

L'Oreal Pro Glow

L'Oreal Pro Glow
Shades Top to Bottom: 02 Creamy Natural, 03 Nude Beige, 03 Natural Beige

The powder can be used three different ways: Set your foundation with the non shimmer side of powder, Highlight your face with the shimmer side of powder or for an all over glow.  As you can see below its split into two different products per say. The top part has a shimmer in it and the bottom does not.  I know I wanted the all over glow so I went in by swirling my powder brush into it and applied it directly to a fresh moisturized face. It gives a bit of coverage and does give you a subtle all over glow but I do use a ton of skin care that makes my skin glow already. When I need those quicker makeup days I reach for my MAC Studio Fix Plus Powder Foundation and I wanted to see how this would compare and it just did not provide the coverage I would like.  However I think this is a fabulous affordable setting powder by using both sides to set your foundation for a subtle all over glow or even to set your under eyes it works.

L'Oreal Pro Glow

L’Oreal Pro Glow Powder

Shades L to R: Creamy Natural, Nude Beige, Natural Beige

When it comes to the Pro Glow Foundation it gives me the most natural looking base with a beautiful glow that does not make me look too shiny. I went to breakfast with some family while I was trying it out and they said my makeup looked fresh and like it was my own skin. That is exactly what I look for in a foundation so I can not recommend it enough!!!!

Who else is in love with the Pro Glow Foundation and who has tried these new editions to the collection? I would love to hear your thoughts and what products you are using these days to get your glow on!!!
